MoES Recruitment 2023 : The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) has recently released an official notification inviting online applications for the positions of Scientists at various levels, including Scientist C, D, E, F & G. Candidates who are interested and meet the eligibility criteria can apply to MoES Application Form for these positions. The MoES Scientist Recruitment application period is open for 42 days from the date of publication on the official website. However, candidates residing in specific regions such as Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh, Lahaul, and Spiti district, Pangi Sub Division of Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands, or Lakshadweep, have an extended application period of 60 days.

Qualification:
- Scientist ‘G’ -Master’s Degree in Physics / Mathematics / Geophysics / Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography / Seismology / Geology / Geosciences or equivalent, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Ocean Engineering, Earth Science, or equivalent from a recognized University with a least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Experience: At least 21 years
- Scientist ‘F’- Masters’ Degree in Physics / Mathematics / Geophysics /Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography / Seismology / Geology / Geosciences or equivalent, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Ocean Engineering or technology, Earth Science, or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Experience: At least 16 years
- Scientist ‘E’ -Masters’ Degree in Zoology/Marine Biology/Marine Sciences/Microbiology or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Experience: At least 11 years
- Scientist ‘D’ -Masters’ Degree in Zoology/Marine Biology/Marine Sciences/Microbiology or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Experience: At least 7 years
- Scientist ‘C’- Master’s degree in Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in the field of Biotechnology/Geoinformatics or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level.
Experience: At least Three (03) years of experience (after obtaining essential educational qualification) in Research and Development in the fields of geospatial database or bioinformatics related to marine biodiversity.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years (for Scientists ‘C’), 50 years (for Scientists ‘D’, ‘E’, ‘F’ & ‘G’) (Relaxation of age applicable for Government servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.
